Anglo-Allied test figures

Evening all. A comparatively quick blog post this evening as I didn’t have the time for a full weekend of painting.

I located 4 AB British figures going spare so decided to paint them up by way of a test run for the Anglo-Allied force I’m looking at starting next.

Figures primed. L to R British Line, British Line w/buff facings, Anglo-Italian Levy, Calabrian Free Corps

Now you’ll note on the finished figures that I haven’t painted the plumes on either the Anglo-Italian Levy or the Calabrian Free Corps as the references I’ve got both only show flank companies with green plumes.

If anyone can tell me if they have “normal” British battalion plumes or not, it would be greatly appreciated.

Also the uniform colour for the Calabrian Free Corps was a nightmare – currently it’s a mix of green and Prussian blue – if anyone can point me to a suitable colour in the Foundry Triad range, that’s ready to go out the pot….. then you’ll be my new favourite person

L to R – British Line, British Line w/buff facings, Anglo Italian Levy, Calabrian Free Corps
British Line Infantry

Productive use of the afternoon, but any guidance r.e the figures and paint colours would be most welcome.

  1. From what I remember the plumes were all green for the Calabrian Free Corps. I think the light infantry had red coats with yellow collar and cuffs. Looking forward to following your progress as this is something I have planned for the future.
